February 19, 2019 at 11:57 pmRob, try this as a quick test. Use ‘Track Motion’ on the track you have the text and set it to 1080×1080 similar to how you set the Pan & Crop, don’t forget to switch off the ‘Lock Aspect Ratio’ icon at the top (2 XX’s with a lock graphic). That should bring the text into the correct screen size ratio. If that works, the text fonts are probably going to change, would be my guess and you may have to work on that.

I’ve looked all over the place but I can’t find a button or menu item for Track Motion, and it’s not mentioned in the help index. Sorry, can you tell me where to find it?Thank you!

February 20, 2019 at 5:31 amI had to go back to 1920×1080; the sizing of the text had gone haywire at 1080×1080. It’s working now except that he UI wasn’t showing as much of the bottom of the frame a the render is –hmm!
Fingers’ x’d, client sees it tomorrow.
Thanks again George!

February 20, 2019 at 4:11 pmWhen you change the track viewing area with Track Motion, that will change the dimenisions of the text characters, but depending on the Text Generated Media, we can adjust that. Good Luck with your current results and your client. If you need more work on it, we can proabably find the solution.

February 20, 2019 at 4:54 pmGeorge, they sent me an .mov file that carries their logo thru the video, but Vegas nor Google Chrome will even open it.
I was thinking I could import it into Photoshop and change it there but I’ve never done that.
Do you have any ideas?
Thank you,

February 20, 2019 at 5:55 pmHi Rob,
I’m confused (not necessarily unique for my age!!). You have a Vegas project showing a product or technique that you have placed text. Now you mention they sent you an .mov file with their logo. Is this .mov logo file suppose to be placed in your project as an overlay?
Perhaps you can explain your work flow so I can better understand how this .mov logo file fits into your project.
When you attempt to load their .mov file into Vegas, what exactly happens? If you get an error, what is the error?
Depending on what happens/error code, you may need to install Quicktime.

yes it’s an mov file about 90 seconds long.
Not only does it not even play, it says “media offline”. I am going to try to convert it to mp4 OR convert the render out of the project to mov THEN combine the two mov files. But I cant find a render setting that outputs in mov :).
Do you think that would work?

I suppose that may work, but I’m even more confused than before!! Where does this 90 second mov file need to be in your project? Is it an overlay for your project, or does it need to play at the beginning as an intro?
If you do not have Quicktime installed you can not render your project to .mov (which is a container/wrapper). If you render your project to mov how are you going to combine the two when the client 90 second mov will not play in your Vegas?

February 20, 2019 at 6:45 pmIt’s a logo overlay that runs the length of the video.
And I’m not sure how it will work :(. My idea is to find a converter cheap or free that will convert the mov to mp4 so I can add it to the timeline.
