  • using proxies on complex layered photoshop files

    Hello,

Im animating a complex scene which is 1000×1000 pixels.I realise that this is not a valid aspect but the
final render is to be used as a texture on a 3d model.

I have already started this project and done some key framing and masking.

Due to the complexity of the photoshop file (imported as a composition) I would like to try using proxies to speed up my work flow.
I understand how proxies work with a single HD video file but composition is my is made up of many compositions as I used folders to organize the assets in the layer menu of photoshop. (the composition folder in after effects has 185 items!

My question is, in order to use proxies as I work on this complex file so that every element is a proxie do I have to literally click on each of the 185 assets in order to make this happen and will the work that has already been done be intact once the proxies have re-imported themselves?

Or is there a quicker way of doing this?

    many thanks,

    Neil
