Hi, We are using Final Cut Pro 4.5 HD with a Blackmagic Card set. We use a lot of Photoshop files for importing in to FC, which we then use then over video. The problem we are having is that if we are using a photoshop file which has a gradient, lets say going from left to right, from a pure black to transparent. When we import this into FC and use this over video there seems to be a semi transparent ‘white’ glow on the edge of the transition between non transparency and transparency. The same thing happens with drop shadows and outer glows. We flatten all layers to a single layer before importing into FC, so there are no Photoshop effects, just flattened layers. What are we doing wrong, are there settings we should be checking?
    Any help appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Kevin Wells.

    Kevin,

Try changing the transfer mode to overlay or multiply.
