  Using objects/compositions to spell a word without masking

  Hi – I’m just wondering if its possible to do the technique at 1.30-1.32 in the following link using particular:

  If so is there any where you can type in the word you want the particles to spell or do you have to use a stencil alpha mask?

  where code is used to spell out sections of each letter….does this have to be done using masks (surely there is a quicker way!)

  Out of curiosity at 30secs in the same clip the word virus is made up of hash characters….is a plugin required for this ?
