Is there any legal issues concerning using music from CD’s as background music for slideshows, small video productions, etc.?

If you’re asking this question, then you suspect that there MAY be issues. So, let’s be honest here… the only issues are whether you care about breaking the law or not!
Then, if you don’t care, how lucky do you feel about NOT getting caught?

    Other than that, no issues.

Take a look at the long thread in the Demo Reels Forum. Pay close attention to Ron’s message, I think that says it all.

Only the same copyright & licensing issues that apply to any use of copyright protected material. Legally, you should buy a synch license from the copyright holder.
