This seems like a simple thing to do and Im sure the answer is obvious, but I just cant seem to find a way to do it….
I have a project where part is fairly after effects heavy so I am editing the final file but wish to use proxy clips for the edit until I am sure the animation is final. So the FCP file is final size, uncompressed 10 bit, but these animation clips are lower resolution and so do not fit properly in the canvas, is there a way other than create an offline project for the entire thing to have the proxy animation files fit the canvas until I export the high res files from AE? Im about ready to just scale them up, but I don’t want to create issues when I re-import my final files…

As far as I know, This problem only seems to be addressed in the literature in the capturing process…

    Thanks!

    Hi Danny,

I’m not exactly sure what you’re trying to accomplish…but I think creating a DV codec (full rez) file of your animation would be a good chioce.
The low bandwidth with a full image should get you by.
