Using FCP Footage in AVID
Can anyone recommend a way to get raw 1080i60 HDV material from FCP into a form that AVID can use?

Which version of Avid?
Man…even with the latest Media Composer 5, getting HDV to work on that machine will be tricky. Because the ProRes decoder is built into QT 7.6, but HDV isn’t. You’ll have to buy a third party decoder.

But again, what version of Avid? Too old and it might be a problem. And yes, you will have to import/transcode every single frame of video.
