Using Extreme HD to output DVCPRO HD to HDCAM

Have not tried this but am considering renting a HDCAM deck to master 4 episodic programs.

Is it possible to dump my finished DVCPRO HD 1080i50 format movie out via the Blackmagic HD Extreme HDSDI output into the HDCAM deck (HDW2000), control will be RS422.

As in Digital Betacam where I can switch the REF sync to INPUT VIDEO, can I do the same for HDCAM? As I am working from home and do not have access to a sync generator.

Also, this will be the 1st time using a HDCAM deck. Anything I should know?

Any advise appreciated.
