Using Compressor what formats can FCP edit (apart from prores)
Hi,
I have a lot of iMovie DV which I am using Compressor to transcode so it can be edited in FCP. Prores creates files 4 times the size of the original, are there any other formats I could try which FCP can edit (HDV seems to be available and FCP can edit it).

Go into Audio/Video Settings and in sequence presets check the list of available codecs. Anything in there FCP can working with natively.

iMovie DV files? As in .dv? Standard definition? Then convert to DV/NTSC.
HD? Then you can try DVCPRO HD or the Apple Intermediate Codec
