I’m trying to render and convert a 15 minute reel for a client in less time. When I go to Export from FCP I get a 4 Hour est. completion in the render bar (blue) area. Why does it take so long to render and convert such a short sequence (QT). Should I use QuickTime or Quick Time Coversion to exort my timeline and make it a QT file to be shared through email to my client. Basically, it’s taking me all day to render and export the sequence from FCP.

    Any help is much appreciated!!!

    Thanks,

    Gees

Holy cow, the other thread wasn’t informational enough? How many filters do you have on your footage? How experienced are you with FCP? Have you rendered all of your footage? Do you know what you are doing at all?
