Using capture date and time data
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but there are no facilities within Adobe Premiere (or Bridge) for using the metadata that is captured along with DV AVI. I’m talking specifically about the record date and time.
I have a load of captured video that I captured in Premiere, using scene detection to split the clips. Because of a disrupted timecode the clip filenames are a complete mess. I would like to organise the clips according to the time and date that I shot the video. Ideally I would like to rename the filenames with the record date and time. I know the metadata is there as I have used a piece of software called catDV to catalogue the clips. Unfortunately, the version I’m using won’t rename the actual filenames.
Surely this would be a simple and very useful feature to include in Premiere Pro? If anyone knows of a plug-in or third party app that can do what I need I will be very pleased to hear from you.
