  Using Align-To to Move text position

  I know how to use Align-To but cannot get what should be a simple task to work.

  I want to use a fly-out of text from the side text effect plug-in for FCPX, but it’s user-input text so I cannot know the length of the text in advance. But I want the text to fly-out from the side of the frame just enough to show all the text.

  I have one text field inside a group.

  I have an enclosing group that, when selected, will show the current width of the text field inside and I thought I could put an align to on the enclosing folder to move by aligning with the right end of the text field.

  But I guess is a recursive loop to make a folder move in sync with the right end of an ecnlosed text field

  Any thoughts?
