  • Using a Portable DVD player as a field monitor for the DVX100A

Hello, I’ve found a Portable DVD Player online and I intend to use it as a small field monitor. It’s an Audiovox Multi Region Portable Tablet Style Slim DVD Player – Model: D-1750T

It has a Video input: 1 (minijack .125-inch composite-video), switchable with output. It’s supposed to be able to display camcorder footage. I wrote the site and they said this:

We checked into your application and from what we can get from the data on the web, you can run the DVD player D-1750T from a video source via the mini connector. What we are not sure of is will it run in all scan modes other than standard interlaced and frame rate. The D-1750T is for consumer applications and is set up for running on formats and rates compatible to that general market. Your DVX100A camcorder can run in other modes that may not work with the DVD player.

I’d like to be sure it will work before I buy it. Any of you guys know? Thanks for any help – Raymond
