Using a FCP 7 file in FCP 6
Hello,
I was editing a project in a facility and wasn’t notified that they had upgraded their software to FCP 7. I discovered it trying to open up my project in FCP 6 at my job. I went back to the facility and exported my file using quicktime movie. I would like to confirm that all I have to do is import this mov file to use in it FCP 6.

The files will go in but that is not the project file, all the editing is lost.

Go back to the facility and export an XML file (version 4) of the entire project, and then import that into FCP 6. You have all the media, right? The source files?
