Hi, I’m newish to Vegas. I have Vegas 14 Pro 64bit. I typically use it for OBS captured 60fps and my typical project settings are: HD 1080p, 59.9fps, resample mode disabled. Rendering is Sony AVC/MVC, Internet 1920×1080 60fps, and the highest bitrate 25,999,360, render quality Best.

I recently started a new project, however I discovered the main video is 25fps, and a smaller clip I want to use is 23.5fps. Is using the above settings going to mess up rendering? What would you recommend? Also the small 23.5fps clip I want to place layered within the 25fps video ie as if that small clip is appearing on a monitor in the movie. Will the difference in fps cause a problem? I am going to be timing footage to audio so I’d like everything to be precise as possible.

Thanks for any help. I tried googling but I didn’t see anything specifically addressing this.

    Hi Bob

Yup, Vegas does not like different frame rates, especially 23.5

Use something like Handbrake (it’s free) to convert all your clips to the same frame rate.

    Rendering should be a breeze.

    Cheers !
