Fun and little-known Ae tip: in the Project panel, type “used” in the search box. You can also type “unused” to see assets that not in use or “missing” for assets that are offline.
You can also search by type (i.e., “png” or “quicktime”) if the Type column is shown.
If you want to eliminate unused assets from the project, you can use File > Dependencies > Remove Unused Footage.
