    Howdy
What I want to do is make the File Name Templates window automatically place renders in a sub-folder using the comp name.

    [compName].[fileExtension]

… is what I have at the moment.
    What I want is…

    [compName]/[compName].[fileExtension]

Where the slash / means make a folder called [compName] and put renders called [compName].[fileExtension] inside it.
But After Effects won’t accept the slash character and converts it to an underscore _. This functionality is possible in other applications and seems useful, at least to me. I do a lot of rendering as frame sequences. Being able to automatically create sub-folders would save a lot of clicking.

Anybody out there know how to do this or if it’s even possible?

    Thanks
    Ken
