  • Urgent More Info…Please help with Mpeg import

I’m editing a project for a client who sent me a disk with 3 mpg files on it. They are the same files but large, medsium and smaller files. The files contain ad spots, and a 4 minute video they wish to incorporate into the show. How do I import these videos into m100 8.2.1 with the best quality? These clips are all 320 X 240 I’m using a 720 program, and the final edited video will go out on a DVD. Can this be done, or do I need to ask for a better quality video? Also, how do I get the audio into the m100 so it can be synced with the video?

I need to start the edit tomorrow. Thanks so much!

Are these multiplexed files, component streams, or part of a DVD? In any case you should ask for better video. Your final edit will go on a DVD which is 720 X 480.

MPEG Streamclip should be able to convert the MPEG1 file for you to QT for use in M100. Its a free app https://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html

    Greg,
Glad I could help. I have been on Media 100’s for over 10 years now and I enjoy trying to assist people to solve problems. While I am not as technically knowledgable as Floh (who is pretty amazing at answering some of these questions) I try my best.

I’ll let the UCONN thing slide (HAHA) as I work in the state university system. I hope your time in our little state treated you well.

    Best
    Chad
