  • Upgrading to Tiger and to Photoshop 7 from Photoshop 4

I have a Mac running Panther now and I want to upgrade it to Tiger. I like to do a complete erase and install when doing major OS upgrades like this but the problem is that the only full version of Photoshop I have is Ver. 4. So, when upgrading the OS and re-installing all my apps. I need to install OS9 classic-install Photoshop 4-then upgrade that PS4 to Photoshop 7. (All my versions from 4 to 7 are all upgrades, not full versions.)
Is there a faster way to do this? A way without having to do a classic install? Can I just put the Photoshop 7 disc in and get it to run some how?

This might be worth a phone call to Adobe. They may be able to trade in all your past Photoshop discs for a full version of PS7 for a small fee or something.

Now, I have no clue if they’d actually do something like that, but it seems to me that it’s worth your time to ask.
