Upgrading from Premiere 6.5
Hi.
I just started a new job, and among the things that I am supposed to do is video editing. We have Premiere 6.5 set up and I’d like to convince them to upgrade to PPro2.
I have it at home on my laptop, along with FCP on my Mac and I’ve worked a lot with Avid systems, so I’m aware of its capabilities and the different editing platforms. I get the impression that with me coming in with a video background and what they are trying to develop with on line video, that I’ll have some pull with regards to investing in upgrades, but I still have to make my case.
So what are the benefits to upgrading?

There are many advantages, some of which include better realtime previewing and nested sequences. The workflow is generally faster once you get used to it.
