  • Upgrading from Premiere 5.5 to CC with Matrox MXO2. Will current projects lose effects?

Hello everyone. I have a 8 Core PC, 12 gig ram, NVidea Quadro4000, with Matrox MX02 Max, running Premiere 5.5. I have 3 shows in near to finished condition. I am having troubles viewing any AVCHD footage or working with it in 5.5, but supposedly CC will work it fine. I cannot see the footage on my CRT or Main monitor, just on the windows in the computer screens.
I was going to upgrade to Creative Cloud (cc) and update the Matrox drivers, but I am fearful that I will lose all of my color correction and other Matrox (and possibly Premiere 5.5) effects in these shows when I do that, as I have to uninstall the current drivers to load the new ones.
Anyone know the playback issues of AVCHD on 5.5 with MX02?
Anyone know what will happen to my shows if I update?
( I have done the upgrade on my Macbook Pro, and the footage plays back there, but it sometimes hangs up or chops a bit due to processor / video card lag.)

    Thanks,
    Will
