Upgrade+Loss of Firewire Visual
Just upgraded my FCP from 4.5 to 5.1.1 on a dual-proc G4. I am told upon start up that it cannot find my firewire device (sony dsr-25). I am able to contol and see timecode in the Log and Capture window, which does say VTR OK, but no video or audio. I can get Video and Audio in IMovie (but who the hell wants to edit in that?).. which means the cable, the deck and computer are ok. I also tried the cable direct from a camera with no luck. I’ve done all troubleshooting procedures in the manual… Never seen this one before. Help, oh humble readers of this sage-filled forum!
