    Been a Vegas Pro user for editing ever since 6 and have upgraded to 11.
    Been thinking about a camcorder upgrade and thought I’d ask fellow Vegas users what they use, why they like it, etc. I’m looking for a multi-purpose camcorder as I do a lot of ENG-style shoots for corporate vids, but I’d like get a boost in image quality from the mostly HDV shoots I still do.

    Looking at a budget of around $5K with lens.

    Any suggestions or personal user-experiences (esp. with Vegas Pro NLE workflows).

    Thanks to all for the suggestion. I guess I’ll have to do a hands-on at an upcoming AV gear show. I will say I read a fellow cow’s first-hand experiences with the NXCAM. His findings aren’t encouraging, esp. in the area of chromatic abberrations (chroma fringing) of lenses and picture detail. If you’re curious, here’s a link to his final summation:
