Upgraded to OSX Mavericks. Crashing constantly.
I upgraded my macpro 4,1 to Mavericks and now whenever I click on a clip of any type the system crashes immediately. (prores, h264 whatever.)
I pulled out my GTX 285, knowing that cuda is not supported in Mav. Just have my GT 120 in the system. It is still crashing.
Any advice?

And where did you get this great nugget of information?
And even if that was the truth, which it obviously is not, why pulling GTX 285 and leaving GT120 (both nVidia cards supporting CUDA) will alleviate your problem? -
Sorry Jake, I didn’t mean to upset you.
My mistake, I meant the GTX 285 is not a supported CUDA card in Mavericks.
That being the case, I figured it was causing the crash in Resolve.It doesn’t looks like I’ll be getting any useful information on this. Back to Mountain Lion.

Maverick is the first OS, that rolls CUDA drives into the OS, meaning now it’s up to Apple to provide the CUDA drivers for various nvidia cards. Right now Apple hard at work incorporating OpenCL support, delegating CUDA to a second tier. That is why, if you are using nVidia cards you’re better off to hold off the migration to Mavericks until CUDA support had been sorted out. Even though CUDA with GTX 680 officially supported, along with K5000 and K4000, I found Resolve under Mavericks is still slower and quite choppy.

Smoke is also not usable under Mav…stay away if you need performance.A slice of color…
