I’m getting the weirdest artifacts now that I’ve upgraded that I never had before. Motion tab effects are jumping all over and I get green slices at random spots. I keep re-rendering and re-rendering but they keep popping up. This was never a problem before.

I’ve got OSX 10.4.6 with a BlackMagic Decklink SD card

I upgraded from OSX 10.3.9 and Final Cut 4.5 earlier this week. Some older projects don’t seem to have this problem, but re-rendering older projects has become a real problem.

    10 bit?

    10 bit

I noticed that it seems more acute on certain photoshop files moving over backgrounds, and mostly with older projects. I have no idea if that has anything to do with it. In the past, I’d just flush the render files and fix this. I’m beginning to wonder if FCP 4.5 projects can only be rendered in “least/fastest” motion tab mode. I’ll try that in the morning.
