  Upgraded project to FCP 5, got weird shape renders

  Hi all,

  I edited a documentary last sumer in FCP HD(4.5). There are subtitles, and to make them stand out, I put a rendered rectangle behind them. Opening the project in FCP 5, the rendered shapes have weird lines in them – they are not smooth and solid. Any new shapes are just fine, so it looks like this was collateral damage from the upgrade.

  Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas short of re-creating all these shapes, or going back to 4.5?
