upgrade to vegas 10 from 8 & problems w AVIs
I have been using Vegas Movie Studio 8 on an XP box for a few years but recently upgrade the pc and now run Win7 and Vegas movie Studio 10 HD –
Ive alway used a standard flip and avi file which worked great. Now I mostly use a Zi8 and those files are no problem, but the avi files are impossible.
I can import them but the time it takes for ‘building peaks’ is far too slow. as example I’ve importd a file and dragged it into the time line and its taken 10 minutes to get 34% of a 45 second avi file. My old pc with ver 8 would do this in about 10 seconds.
I have just looked at gspot and it say the codec is xvid and is installed. im not sure if the same codec play the videos and are used in vegas? so Im a bit lost here.
This is sooo frustrating and I really have to get moving. If I find the issus I’ll post it here but if you have an idea please let me know.
Many Thanks
