Upgrade to Pro 9 ?
Per previous thread… Will Pro 9 allow me to use a DVI port as an external preview monitor? (My current Vegas 4 can only use a DV device.) Searched and haven’t been able to find anything.
Any idea if it will bog down on my older laptop (Dell E1705, 2Ghz Core Duo (not Core II Duo), 2Gb RAM, ATI X1400 display chip, 200gb 7200 drive)? Vegas 4 runs fairly well on it, not sure if 9 requires significantly more resources.

Took a flyer that 9 was different enough from 4 that the two wouldn’t conflict on the same machine so downloaded the trial for 9. Both 4 and 9 run and 9 provides the preview capabilities I needed (among a few other improvements over the past few years :-).
