upgrade time….
its time to upgrade the Quad G5 but before i jump straight in I have a few questions that someone may be able to help with….
Would there be any benefit to having OSX Server installed as the operating system?
Is FCP stable on 10.5?
Is Adobe After Effects compatible with 10.5 yet?
I have read the X1900XT graphics card is not compatible with the new macs, so which card is most suited to video work (FCP, Color, AE, Shake) ?

None that I’m aware of.

Not officially. Some folks say it works, but I will not try it until Adobe updates the software.

Only if you want to run it as a server for many other Macs. But no, not really.

For some people….not others. Since I am stable under 10.4.10, I find no reason to upgrade. Nothing Leopard has to offer makes upgrading worth it…IMHO.
