    hey all, i am running a dual 1.8 g5, and i want to upgrade to uncompressed editing.

    what card, and hard drive arrays would you suggest??????? what would be the least expensive?

    My standard answer is the Kona 2 with a set of Medea FCR2X Fibre Channel drives. You can do a search on this forum on capture cards, upgrades, etc…. and you’ll find a lot of discussions about this.

    Uncompressed SD? HD?

    If HD, and even if SD, Walter’s suggestion is a good one. But if you are only doing SD, you can get an AJA I/O or Decklink Extreme card, and then get a nice External SATA Array from either Big Disk or FirmTek.
