July 16, 2007 at 9:48 pmSo FC Studio 2 upgrade will overwrite ALL of the FC Studio 1 application files and preferences?

July 17, 2007 at 4:08 amYes, FC Studio will overwrite the apps. A new feature in FCP 6 is it will remember your previous FCP preeferences. I still recommend creating a project called Favorites in case you do lose your preferences.
Drag your Favorites Folder into a bin in your Browser.

July 17, 2007 at 8:18 pmwould it work the same to just use “Disk Utility” to create a disk image of the current system drive/volume, or is CCC really the best way to go? either way, i’ve downloaded it and will probably give it a shot here shortly…(gotta run out and get another drive first!)

July 17, 2007 at 8:24 pmCarbon Copy Cloner is the best way to go… and the safest. Because you already have the drive ready to boot and waiting with your older working version. Its well worth the investment in a drive.
