  upgrade FCP5 to FCP7 for using Sony S X S cards

  I”m looking to upgrade my laptop from FCP5 to 7. I want to make sure the upgrade will handle the Sony S X S cards and the codec before I buy the $250 upgrade. I’m using OS X 10.5.8 with a Mac book pro with 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 and 4 Gig Ram. (G force 86000 MGT video card) This is basic Leopard and not Snow Leopard.

  Is this cheap upgrade too to be true?
