    I have a dual 2 gHz G5 running FCP Studio 2 with Leopard. Software update is offering to update to Prokit 5.0, FCP 6.0.6, and OSX 10.5.8. The info on the FCP update talks about addressing issues with early 2009 Intel Macs. Are there any known issues or advantages to updating OSX to 10.5.8 and FCP to 6.0.6 for a G5 (Power PC)?

    Thanks in advance.

    No advantages are readily apparent, however no issues either, so it’s a wash.

    David;

    Thank you for the rapid and thoughtful response, as usual. Before Jerry Hoffman turned me onto the Cow, I didn’t know that all you sharing professionals were out there. Abundantly glad I found out.

    You’re very welcome Terry. And oh, that Jerry guy you referred to, you must mean that washout that used to hang here? Right? I remember him vaguely…
