Updating source clip markers in sequence
I’m logging material by playing back a stringout of all clips from a day’s shoot. I’d like to add markers to clips as I’m watching but unfortunately the markers that are set in the timeline don’t carry through to their corresponding source clips in the bin, so this has limited uses.
Same goes for reviewing clips in the source monitor – if I set markers there the markers don’t update on any timelines already containing those clips, so my stringout sequences don’t get updated with markers.
I’m aware that I can copy and paste from the markers tool but it’s not ideal.
What do other people do in this scenario? Perhaps I need to rethink my approach.

I view clips in the source monitor and add locators (markers) there….BEFORE I cut into a sequence. If you need them updated in the sequence, then you need to re-cut them into it.
