    I’ve waited as long as I can…

Is it safe to update my PowerPc G5 Towers to Leopard?

Can’t stand any downtime with FCP and my current editing projects.

Are there problems I should be aware of?

I read on this forum that both Leopard and FCP need to have all updates installed before beginning to edit.

    Anything else?

    Thanks,

    Chris

I’ve been using Leopard since last December on my G5 enjoying its many benefits and without any issues. Just keep running the updater and rebooting until it tells you all software is up to date and you’ll be fine.

BTW, I hope you’re planning on a clean install… Oh, and use Carbon Cop Cloner to clone your present system drive to a firewire drive beforehand, just in case you need to retrieve a file or need Tiger for some reason.
