Like the title says, I just updated to Tiger. I ran the software updater two or three times until there was nothing left to update. Everything seems to be working fine except for my firewire connection. My XL2 shows that it’s connected (“DV IN” shows on the screen) and I can control it (play, pause, rewind) with the log and capture window. Everything looks fine except that it won’t show anything in the preview window. When I tell it to capture it says “no video to capture” or something like that. I even tried to capture with the QT app and it tells me to connect a camera. I’ve turned the camera on and off, disconnected and reconnected all of the cables, restarted the computer and FCP… nothing.

I even tried to connecting with iChat AV because with 10.3 I could turn the camera to “External Control” and it would show up as a webcam in that program. Now, it says my camera is in use by another program.

I’ve got an external Firewire HD that is connected just fine.

I really need to capture and don’t know what to do!!

    I’ve got a Single 1.8 Powermac G5 with OSX 10.4.3 and FCP 4.5

    Help!!
