Updateable flash buttons?

I’m making a flash website and I’d like to make my portfolio section completely ubdateable without having to change my file and reuploading it to my server. I know that I can update my flash video very easily by replacing the file itself on my server with another video with the same name. I was wondering if there was a way to make my button images function in the same way. That way I can just change the flash video and update the button that loads it without going through the trouble of reuploading a changed version of my .swf.
