I’m already half kicking myself as I came across a tutorial that had a really good tip of outlining the edges of the UVs in C4d and then saving a .PSD file which contained all the different channels you might be requiring inside of it….Problem is I was not looking to do that at the time and just glanced over it and now I can not find it again and there is nothing in my browser cache :-(..think I can find this tutorial again…No chance.

So I have done a search or two here but not really sure exactly what it could be under, i’m hoping someone might just put me out of my google searching misery and help me out with this. I’m using C4d 10, and have unwrapped my UVs nicely and can do some scribbles on them with the body paint tools. But for the life of me can not save out an image with the UVs laid out so I have a guide of where to paint in photoshop.

Anyone able to help me out with this…What are your methods/workflows for saving out UVs and then painting on them in an external paint application and bringing them back into C4d.

    thanks in advance 😀

select the UVs you want. CTRL+A(PC)
I think go to layer and outline them.
Then you export as a PSD or whatever. Not in front of it right now, but look for the command that outlines your UVs

Yes thankyou!! Was exactly what I was looking for.

I still never found that tutorial but i’m making sure I bookmark any tutorials that I think might be interesting to me further down the line. 😛
