Unwrap and Relax Problem with C4D (Video recording of problem included)
Hi guy’s i have been switching from Maya to C4D and I have porblem with Unwrap-Relax tool .. i have following a tutorial

But i cant get this thing to work even on simple objects .. in Maya i can do this faster but i don’t want to switch app just for UV, cause i am sure that this is some simple solution that i am not aware off … You will find my step buy step in a link below

I think the first thing you’ll need to do is apply Shrink Wrap projection to the selected UV polys. That will insure that all the islands that are supposed to be connected are connected. You may also need to do this in a couple operations instead of all at once, but I’m not sure about that.
You also may want to explore the UV Peeler function for cylindrical objects like this.

Adam, Shrink Wrap projection did the job .. i 1 Import object 2 Paint setup wizard 3 Shrink Wrap projection 4 Clear UV 5 Slectd polzgons and edgers for cut 6 Relax UV .. And it worked!
