This is rather annoying: As I move or add clips to the time line a label with about 35 numbers pops up which I must click on to remove, only to have it return shortly, over and over. It gets in the way of working with the clip. I have right clicked the mouse in hopes of seeing it’s properties-but nothing. Even though I add or remove different clips from different files the same enormously long string of the same numbers pops up. How did I get this and how do I remove it, please?

Sounds bizarre. Do you have a screenshot?

Definitely never heard of this before, but you might try:

    – toggle View > Active Take Information on/off (Ctrl+Shift+I)
    – Option > Preferences > Video tab and change “Show source frame numbers on event thumbnails as:” item

Just be random luck if this works, but it’s easy enough to try.

I checked with ADK, the people that built my computer and had Eric look (Team Viewer)at my screen while in Vegas 9c, and the “label” popped up. He said it was an error code. He called it a hexadecimal error code. He tried looking for a error log in Vegas 9c but found nothing. Unless someone knows how to remove this error code from coming up I will have to contact Sony and ask them. Thanks Eric for your information, that was not the problem but thanks to you I now know how to label each shot if I need to, so that is a help. And Joe, I don’t know how to do a screen shot, but that may not be necessary since we now know that it is a Sony error code.
    Thanks,

    Mims

You were asked to provide a screen grab, to further investigate. Do a system restore, to when it last worked.
    Maybe that will work.
    Try deleting your preferences.
    Or reinstalling it…
Cant help much since we dont see this problem on our machines
