    Hello,

I am somewhat of a novice when it comes to 3D animation, so I hope someone can help me with this issue..

I have dowloaded and imported a model of the Eiffel Tower into Element 3D, it all looks fine however the is an unwanted flat surface at the model’s base whenever I have the camera positioned from above – it disappears when I position the camera below?? Hopefully this an easily solved issue but I would just like to delete this flat object all together.

Hopefully I am making sense, I have attached a screen shot of the above and below perspective to show what I mean.

    Thank you in advance!

Check your Group Folder. Expand that see if there’s another group item for the ground plane. Since its only vidible from above, that’s indicating that it’s just a simple, single sided poly. Can’t imagine its not separated from the tower somehow.

If not though, you might have to do some simple editing in a 3D modeleing app.
