Unwanted Milkiness to HD renders in AE3
Greetings & Happy New Year AE Gurus,
I’ve been working on an HD job where the trustworthy editor keeps telling me the renders out of AE3 have dull colors and add an unwanted milkiness to the footage.
Here are the basic facts. Original Footage shot on a Panasonic HVX200 Camera. 720p HD [roughly]30 fps. Edited in Avid, 720p [roughly] 60 fps. Render settings out of AE3: 1280 x 720, Color Depth 16, 59.94 fps. Output Module Info: TIFF Sequence, Millions of Colors, premultiplied.
So, does the problem rest with Avid, with AE3, or elsewhere? Is there some setting in AE, in Interpret Footage or Preferences, that I should be selecting and/or changing? Nothing I’ve done [including switching to TIFF Sequence] seems to help.
I thank you in advance for your responses!
Craig
