Unsupported audio rate in file.
Until just this week using an ati all in wonder 9000 pro 9.06 set on dvd, I record to hard drive, then import to adobe, then cut.. no problem. With no update or changing any settings, now for some reason when I import to adobe I get an unsupported audio rate in file message. Ati settings show a 16 bit rate and somewhere I saw something about a 32 bit rate for adobe, I think in custom settings but not 16. this setting creates a mpeg 2 @ 720 x 480 video and 48,000khz (16 bit ) audio. Strange. when I set to video-cd setting in ati–352 x 240 video and 16 bit 44,100 khz. It imports to adobe fine. So why don’t I settle for that? It just bugs me that it worked before with a larger file and I think the final product may be compromised by size somehow. I am using adobe 7.0.

I would try reinstalling the ATI media software, or even an update if there is one on their website.
Could be something as simple as a Windows update that messed things up as well, I would check in the Add / Remove section to see if any of those update were installed around the time things started to go awkward.

Follow up. This may be strange but thought I would report this in case another has a similar problem. Before I had this probelem, I had upgraded to roxio 8 media creator from roxio 7. I kept getting dao errors . So….. I re-installed roxio 7 and low and behold Adobe works again! Go figure, something tweaked the audio synch from a different software. I don’t get it but it works. Now here goes a really lame question: Which is more up to date, Adobe 1.5 or Adobe 7.0? Which do you guys prefer?

Premiere pro 1.5 is the most up to date. They started the count over and added the word Pro in front of it. It was a huge jump in the quality of the product from Premiere 7.
2.0 is now the current version, and is also a huge improvement over 1.5

D ONLY CHANGE I MADE TO MY SYSTEM YESTERDAY WAS DAT, I INSTALLED WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 11…..
