  • Unlinking Stereo pairs in FCP 7.0.3

Posted by Bob Paul on April 29, 2013 at 5:43 pm

I am trying to adjust the two separate audio tracks in the timeline. I went to Modify-uncheck stereo pair-(the check mark disappeared) but when I try to change the volume of the individual tracks on the timeline, they still are linked. I can’t adjust Ch 1 without Ch 2 changing along with it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you, Bob

Thank you, Jerry. I think that you just awakened me to my simple mistake. I didn’t select the audio tracks before “unchecking stereo pair”. I just unchecked stereo pair thinking that it would automatically unlink the tracks. I shoot mostly and edit only every couple of months and forgot the simple rou Bobtine. Thank you for “waking me up”!
