Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Unknown volume

Doing my first project on FCP and on a virgin system. When I go to close the project and it asks if I want to save changes and I say yes, it says Unknown Volume. I have a volume selected and I see the clips being saved there. What am I doing wrong? Also, I am not getting audio from a DVD that I am importing, any ideas on that?

    Thank you soooo much!

Did you put a / or some other non-alphanumeric character in the name?

    All the best,

As far as the DVD is concerned you need something like DVDxDV for convert the material into a format that Final Cut can edit.

    Tom,
Thanks for the answers. As for the DVDxDV, we couldn’t seemt to find it available so we got CinemaTize. Is that good too? It seems to allow us to import off DVD for editing in FCP.
