Unknown Media (A) Please Change
Hey Everyone,
My name is Brad
I currently did a shoot with an Sony F3 (V1.40) shooting onto SxS cards (Orange SBS-32G1) . For 2 days I worked with the same 4 cards and had no trouble offloading media and dubbing to hard drives.. At the end of the second day I placed one of the cards in the Sony SxS card reader (SBAC-US10). The card reader started blinking a red LED and would not mount the card to the desktop (Mac OS 10.8.2). I ejected the card manually and placed it into the camera, expecting the camera would give me option to “rebuild media”. Instead it showed an message stating “Unknown Media (A) Please Change”.
Only one Card is giving me this problem, I have not formatted, deleted or updated this card (in theory the card should still have information/footage on it). I tested all other cards in same card reader and they mount on desktop as well as playback in camera with no problems.
Is there any solution to this problem i.e. software, hardware, contact to services that can help me retrieve the footage that resides on this card? I tried calling Sony Media Services @ 877-440-3453 and left a message. Still no response :-/
Please respond as soon as you can. If it helps, here are some links to photos and video.
