  • Universal Change to Event Length When in the Middle of a Project

    Sorry to ask such a basic question, but I would like to know if there is a way to change the length of all events in the middle of project. I can change the preferences but that doesn’t seem to affect an existing project (unless I am doing it wrong). Specifically, I do a lot of slide shows, and would like to be able to adjust, on a universal basis, the length of time each picture appears.

    Click the first event, shift+click the last one, press ‘g’ to group them all together, place your cursor at the end of the last even, hold down the Ctrl key and drag to the desired new length.
    If you’re after a specific length/time, I find it useful to place a marker at the new desired end point and stretch to that spot.

    I use the montage tool in the Production Assistant 2 software with Sony Vegas Pro and it is great for creating slide shows. Recently they made FASST Apps available, so you could get just this feature for under $10 as opposed to the $150+ of the suite. If you want to check it out:
