under and OUT
I am fading out two overlapping layers. How do I prevent the under layer from showing through during this fade out?

One way is to precompose the two layers and fade out the precomp.
Another is not to fade out the two layers, but to fade in the new layer over the two (leave the two layers below at 100% opacity). If it’s a fade to black, fade in a black solid over the two.Steve
