uncompressed avi error
Greetings, I am having some issues on my computer as a whole with .avi’s.
I am running Win XP Pro (SP2) with AE 7.0 Pro with a c2d (e6600) chip. I have QuickTime Pro 7.2 I believe.
When I render an avi uncompressed out of PP2.0 none of my media players can play the video. VLC says the avi is broken and must be put back together, QT says its missing a certain component and I should DL that from Apple to get correct playback, but it will not even play. It simply sits on black and audio and vid don’t do anything.
When I try and import DV video into AE it does so fine, but if I try to import any of my uncompressed AVI footage, it says
“error: no such AVI compressor (-2147205007) (53::33)”I reinstalled QT Pro, my Divx codec, I believe I got rid of my Avid codecs and made sure my vid card driver was up to date.
Any help would be nice as I need to edit all of this video rather soon. Thanks

Why not use QT’s None compression and see how that works for you. QTs Animation CODEC does a good job with a quality setting of 96%. Both CODECs I mentioned support an Alpha Channel.
