  • UNCOMPRESSED avi (codec& interlace) PLEASE HELP ME

Posted by Toni White on November 5, 2006 at 11:33 am

I want to export a uncompressed avi file from premiere pro.
When I do this (25 frames no fields, uncompressed microsoft avi) I can not open the file (to view it and to see if it is correct). I don’t ave the codec. When I import it in the same premiere project, I see interlace. Can please somebody help me with this two major problems?

There is no codec for uncompressed video, because it’s not compressed. codec = COmpressor/DECompressor.

That’s because you are using “Uncompressed Microsoft AVI” This format can only be read by Adobe products, or through AJA cards, but not media players.

You have to choose “Microsoft AVI”, and under the video tab choose compressor “none”. Also uncheck, “Recompress” under data rate.

    Cheers,
